Ryan Killman is a trial lawyer who practices in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts. Mr. Killman’s practice focuses on resolving business disputes and he has represented clients ranging from multi-national corporations to individual small business owners. Mr. Killman has successfully tried cases in both the Massachusetts Superior Court and Probate Court.
In addition, Mr. Killman is in the forefront of Bowditch and Dewey’s creation of a new practice area focusing on electronic discovery, document retention/destruction policies and related emerging technology law issues. Mr. Killman sits on Bowditch & Dewey’s Technology Committee and has taught continuing legal education classes on the topic of electronic discovery. Mr. Killman used his understanding of electronic discovery law in successfully arguing to the Federal Court, District of Massachusetts, in W.E. Aubuchon Co., Inc., et al. v. Benefirst, LLC, that the defendant should assume all costs of its electronic document production even where the defendant argued the documents were not reasonably accessible due to the lack of an indexing system. |
