Richard A. Sheils, Jr.

Mr. Sheils concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial finance, creditors’ rights, banking law and corporate law. His experience in documenting commercial loans and in workouts has given him a depth of knowledge in real estate law, construction law and the Uniform Commercial Code. He regularly appears in the federal and state courts and before municipal boards.

Mr. Sheils is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Mr. Sheils is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and has been a partner in the firm since 1990. He is a co-author of Massachusetts Secured Transactions under Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code: Forms and Practice Manual (2002).
