Renee E. Hackett
Partner
Ms. Hackett concentrates her practice in all aspects of employment law. She represents businesses and institutions of higher education in proceedings before state and federal administrative agencies and the state and federal courts. Ms. Hackett also provides comprehensive advice to clients on a wide range of employment-related topics including hiring, termination, employee handbooks/policies, wage and hour practices, employment and non-competition agreements, employee discipline, diversity initiatives and affirmative action programs. In addition, Ms. Hackett provides legal advice on privilege, confidentiality and student issues in higher education and medical contexts. Ms. Hackett is a frequent speaker on personnel practices and related topics critical to employer risk management. Ms. Hackett was selected as a 2005 recipient of the “40 Under Forty” Award by the Worcester Business Journal and also recognized as a 2005 and 2006 Massachusetts Super Lawyer - Rising Star by Law & Politics Magazine and Boston Magazine.
