Brian J. Mullin
Associate

Mr. Mullin’s practice is focused on the representation of management in employment related matters including discrimination and wrongful termination claims, contract disputes, wage & hour complaints, non-competition and protection of trade secrets, union organization, grievances and arbitration. Mr. Mullin’s experience includes representation of clients before state and federal courts, arbitrators and various state and federal agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, OFCCP and Department of Transportation.

Mr. Mullin, regularly counsels clients on day-to-day personnel and compliance matters including leaves of absence, wage & hour compliance, protecting trade secrets & confidential information, Affirmative Action and EEO programs, reductions in force, union avoidance and conducting investigations. Mr. Mullin develops and implements drug testing, safety and training programs and drafts handbooks and employment related agreements including employment, compensation, confidentiality, non-competition and separation agreements.

Background
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Mullin worked for many years as a human resource executive, gaining experience in several industries including real estate development, finance, telecommunications and the public sector. Mr. Mullin was an associate in the labor and employment group of McCarter & English (formerly Gadsby Hannah) before joining Bowditch & Dewey in 2009.
