Mr. Sudmyer has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate, including representing owners, developers and educational institutions in the planning of projects and before municipal and state boards and agencies in the permitting process, drafting and negotiation of construction documents for public and private projects, and completion of financing and issuance of legal opinions. He represents commercial landlords and tenants in lease negotiations for office buildings, shopping centers, and manufacturing facilities and commercial lenders in documenting loans secured by real estate and business assets. Mr. Sudmyer represents owners and lenders in negotiations with municipal and state agencies with respect to environmental matters, including Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 21E and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan. A substantial part of his practice is devoted to counseling clients involved in municipal, state and federal permitting processes, with particular emphasis on zoning and environmental laws relating to the development and use of real estate. His practice also routinely involves advice to clients on design and construction matters, including construction documentation.
