Sustainability

Bowditch & Dewey, LLP adopted a Green Office Policy. The policy is designed to reduce or minimize consumption of natural resources and energy usage wherever practically possible. By following the criteria set forth in the policy, Bowditch & Dewey hopes to do its part in reducing the potential for global climate change.

Our efforts include, but are not limited to:

  • The law firm is enrolled in the ABA-EPA "Law Office Climate Challenge”
  • A group of lawyers and staff continuously improve upon internal sustainable business practices throughout the firm
  • 90% of all types of paper purchased have at least 30% post-consumer recycled content
  • Recycle 90% of discarded mixed office paper
  • Comprehensive recycling programs in all offices
  • Energy efficient light and motion sensor lighting in all offices
  • Energy efficient ENERGY STAR equipment
  • Encourage use of municipal water supply and reusable cups
  • Framingham and Boston offices are located in U.S. Green Building Council LEED certified buildings
  • Videoconferencing capabilities reduce travel between offices and client locations
