Lou Ciavarra appointed to 495/Metrowest Suburban Edge Community Commission

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs has appointed Lou Ciavarra to the 495/Metrowest Suburban Edge Community Commission.

The 495/Metrowest Suburban Edge Community Commission is a partnership between private business and local municipalities charged with the mission of ensuring that edge communities have the opportunities to participate in state development resources and initiatives. The State House established the 495 MetroWest Suburban Edge Community Commission in the FY15 budget in response to challenges experienced by edge communities.

It is an honor and a privilege to serve the Commonwealth with the important work of this Commission,” said Mr. Ciavarra. “I look forward to advancing the interests of the local communities that the Commission was created to assist.”

Mr. Ciavarra, who leads the litigation practice group of Bowditch & Dewey, has over 30 years of experience representing a wide range of clients in complex business disputes, intellectual property disputes, construction disputes and securities fraud matters. While serving as Managing Partner of the Firm, the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus named him a “Good Guys” honoree for his ongoing commitment and partnership in achieving equality for women. He is also a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), an invitation-only honorary society that includes less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.
