Joshua Lee Smith Quoted in Worcester Telegram’s “Marijuana Shops Face Little Opposition in Worcester”
Worcester is mandated to provide up to 15 retail adult-use marijuana shops, which has raised concerns about neighborhood opposition to their locations.
However, this opposition has not materialized as anticipated.
Joshua Lee Smith pointed out in the article two such instances of retail marijuana stores that are in busy commercial zones, which are well away from residential areas. He also said the businesses will blend in with others, and in some cases will improve the area through upgrades to their buildings and off-street parking situations.
