AiVi Nguyen quoted in WBJ’s “United Way, Worcester Together pledge $1M for Worcester summer youth programs”
Both United Way of Central Massachusetts and the Worcester Together Fund will each provide $500,000 to Worcester summer youth programs. The Worcester Business Journal spoke with AiVi Nguyen who is a board chair for United Way and a member of the Worcester Together Fund’s governance committee. Below is an excerpt from the article:
Nguyen said some may consider pulling such a significant sum from United Way’s reserve funds to be a tenuous financial decision, but she said the board’s decision was worth it.
