Lynette Paczkowski Writes “To vaccinate or not to vaccinate: What happens when parents can’t agree to vaccinate their child?” for the Worcester Business Journal

Joint legal custody grants both parents equal rights to make major life decisions for their child.  However, it may be challenging for some parents to come to a consensus on some decisions.  Since parents who share legal custody of a child must agree on all non-emergency medical treatment, one challenge they may face is agreeing upon whether or not their child should get the COVID-19 vaccine.  Lynette Paczkowski discusses what parents can do if they are unable to reach a consensus.

Moreover, filing with the court does not come without risk. Asking the court to make the decision because the parents are unable to could put a parent’s legal custody in jeopardy.
