Banker & Tradesman Publishes “MassDEP Should Run The NPDES Program” by Bob Cox

Banker & Tradesman published an article by Bob Cox on February 29 supporting MassDEP’s effort to assume responsibility for the wastewater discharge permitting process in Massachusetts. As Bob notes, the time is ripe – and long overdue – for MassDEP to take delegation from EPA of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program. Due to its focus on environmental issues specific to the state, MassDEP will administer a more efficient NPDES program than the nationally-focused EPA.
