These include permitting, acquisitions, leasing, financing and environmental compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Smith has successfully permitted a wide variety of projects involving high-density multifamily, public utility infrastructure, higher education, renewable energy, large-scale industrial and life science developments, and serves as an expert zoning witness in hearings before the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored by this award and look forward to working on more projects that will continue to transform and provide economic vitality to communities throughout the Commonwealth,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>Smith is on the boards of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Worcester Regional Research Bureau and the Southern Worcester County Economic Development Organization and is the former chair of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce and board member of Music Worcester. He co-leads Bowditch\u2019s Annual Economic Development Summit, which this year focused on developing for climate resiliency.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Syracuse University College of Law and Babson College, Smith has spent his entire legal career, which began in 2005, with Bowditch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJosh is an excellent lawyer.
