She has extensive experience conducting internal investigations, chairing administrative decision-making panels, and counseling clients with respect to allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, as well as alleged violations of local conduct rules and academic codes. She also advises clients on policy development, trainings, Board governance, and student affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Before entering private practice, Borys worked in the Office for Dispute Resolution at Harvard University and conducted Title IX and related internal investigations involving faculty, students, and staff. Additionally, she spent six years with the Harvard Dean of Students Office serving as a resident advisor and mentor to first-year undergraduates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur education clients will benefit from Meaghan\u2019s guidance as they navigate complex circumstances and expected new Title IX regulations,\u201d says Tim Van Dyck, Practice Area Leader for the firm\u2019s Employment and Labor practice. \u201cShe has experience in several important areas of law and is ready, along with the rest of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowditch.com\/industry\/higher-education-private-schools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">our Higher Education team<\/a>, to provide clients with critical advice, training, and investigative skill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Harvard University, Borys earned her J.D. from the University of California-Los Angeles.
