Karen Fontaine is a paralegal in the Real Estate & Environmental group. She has more than 15 years of experience in the legal and real estate industries.
Skilled in preparing all documents for commercial closings from beginning to finish, Karen’s experience includes ordering municipal lien certificates, title exams, plot plans and title commitments, as well as preparing draft closing documents, final closing documents and ALTA settlement statements. She also manages closing documents for lenders, handles title policies, disburses funds, obtains construction updates and endorsements, and researches multiple states for franchise lending and recording requirements.
Before Bowditch
Karen worked as a real estate and commercial lending paralegal at local law firms and at a title company.
Besides work
Karen has a love/hate relationship with running and can often be found pounding the pavement on the main streets and back roads near her home. Her three teenage daughters keep her busy, but she enjoys reading and going to the beach when she has free time.
