Press Release: Leah A. Rochwarg Named a 2023 Go To Construction Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
Cited for Creativity, Collaboration and Commitment to Optimizing Client Results
Boston, Worcester and Framingham, Mass.—June 5, 2023—Leah A. Rochwarg, Partner, Bowditch & Dewey, has been named a Go To Construction Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
The publication highlights her creative and collaborative approach to managing a highly complex transactional and dispute resolution practice focused on construction, real estate, and other commercial matters.
“Seizing opportunities in the commercial real estate and construction space has required a more nuanced approach since the advent of COVID-19,” said Paul Bauer, Partner and Practice Area Leader for Real Estate, Finance & Corporate at Bowditch. “This is no obstacle to Leah, who brings a strong record of success to every engagement. Our clients value her ability to maximize value and optimize results by staying focused on their goals.”
Rochwarg, who joined Bowditch in 2021 after more than 15 years as a partner at a global firm, advises investors, developers, public and private owners, design professionals, construction managers, contractors, manufacturers, and corporate real estate departments on a wide range of projects, including life sciences, energy, industrial, and mixed-use developments, multifamily housing, hospitality, manufacturing and R&D facilities, and schools.
She counsels clients on transactional and adversarial matters throughout the feasibility, development, construction, commissioning, and project close-out phases of projects —achieving successful results in matters involving contract disputes, services and materials procurement, bid protests, delay/disruption claims, payment and performance bond matters, defective design and construction issues, insurance-related concerns, and more.
“I am honored to receive this recognition and am truly grateful for the tremendous support of my colleagues,” said Rochwarg. “Massachusetts’ economic vitality depends on a thriving construction community. It is my honor to collaborate with our clients to assess and manage risks and to provide them with industry-specific legal guidance to optimize their strategic growth.”
Rochwarg is Co-editor and a Contributing Author of the Wolters Kluwer Construction Law Handbook. A LEED®-accredited professional, she is a Charter Fellow, Construction Lawyers Society of America; past Co-Chair, Construction Law Committee, Boston Bar Association; Member, Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts; Member, Forum on Construction Law, American Bar Association; and Senior Editor and Editorial Board Member, American Society of Civil Engineers – Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction.
