How Will The Law Protect Caitlyn Jenner From Discrimination?
Bruce Jenner’s transition from male to female has brought, perhaps, much needed attention to the struggles faced by the transgender community. The widely celebrated debut of Caitlyn Jenner suggests that we as a society are ready to talk about the transgender community and the issues it faces. One facet that deserves thoughtful discussion is how transgender people are protected under the law. As it stands now, there are gaps in the law that need to be addressed before transgender people can be fully protected against discrimination.
