Managing Student, Faculty and Staff Mental Health Disabilities – College and University Roundtable

In order to effectively support students and employees with mental health disabilities, colleges and universities need to have a solid understanding of what their legal and ethical obligations are with regard to each constituency. This seminar will provide an overview of the law and recent developments regarding covered disabilities, requests for accommodations, leave policies, and best practices for engaging in the interactive process with students, faculty and staff. Additionally, the seminar will discuss balancing student privacy rights with intervention strategies needed to address conduct and safety.
