In Memoriam – Maria L. Remillard (1969-2023)
It is with great sadness that we mourn the February 11, 2023, passing of a remarkable person, attorney, and friend, Maria Remillard.
Maria was a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution & Trials Practice for 11 years and led the domestic relations and probate litigation group for most of that time. She was a fierce advocate on behalf of clients, often motivated by finding a way through obstacles. She was actively committed to providing pro bono services and served as the firm’s pro bono coordinator.
Maria was tenacious and worked very hard for her achievements. She was immensely proud of her partnership at Bowditch, believing that the success that she and others were able to achieve was, in large part, due to teamwork. She will be remembered for prioritizing support for her colleagues, especially women, even holding networking events at her home.
She loved travel and new adventures, the outdoors, hiking, and working on her impressive vegetable garden. Her unforgettable relationship with her spirited English Goldendoodle Harley earned them top place in Bowditch’s recent pet pageant.
We are grateful for the time we shared with Maria. Our thoughts are with Maria’s family, friends, and each other.
