Michael Dickman to Moderate “Bench–Bar Perspectives on Courtroom Presence and Effective Advocacy”
On May 14, Michael Dickman will moderate “Bench–Bar Perspectives on Courtroom Presence and Effective Advocacy,” presented by the Massachusetts Bar Association.
The panel will provide both judicial and practitioner perspectives on how lawyers can be effective, credible and confident in the courtroom. The discussion will range from foundational courtroom mechanics to more advanced advocacy considerations. There will be particular emphasis on skills that newer litigators often do not learn in law school or through written materials.
This program is designed to be valuable to litigators at all experience levels, and all will benefit from revisiting courtroom fundamentals and hearing candid feedback from the bench on what promotes effective advocacy. The program aims to demystify courtroom practice and help lawyers at all stages refine their advocacy in a way that ultimately benefits clients, courts and the profession.
