MassLive quotes Joshua Lee Smith in “Holden Approves New Tennis Courts that Resulted from Merger with Worcester Tennis Club”

MassLive quoted Joshua Lee Smith in an article published on May 6 covering the Holden Zoning Board of Appeals’ approval of both the construction of three new tennis courts and a larger parking lot at the Holden Towers Tennis Club. The construction is the result of last year’s merger of Worcester Tennis Club with Holden Towers Tennis Club, as increased membership in the Holden club necessitated more courts and parking spots.  The Worcester Tennis Club previously sold its courts to Becker College in 2014, and the club’s plans to construct new courts at Elm Park on Newton Hill subsequently fell through due to local opposition.
