Paid Family Medical Leave Act:
New Regulations Explained

The Massachusetts Paid Family Medical Leave Act, which goes into effect on July 1, 2019, establishes a system for paid family leave of up to 12 weeks to care for a family member, and up to 20 weeks for your own illness. To pay for the program, a tax of 0.63% will begin to be collected on July 1, 2019. As an employer, are you prepared for compliance and management of leave for your employees?

Join us to review the newly released regulations and learn what steps your business must take to prepare. Attorneys Brian Mullin and Amy Condon will address:

  • Specific requirements for coverage, eligibility and use of leave
  • Leave administration, including notice, eligibility, leave coordination, and return to work
  • Rights of employers and employees under the statute and penalties for violation

Breakfast will be served. There is no cost to attend.
