Leah A. Rochwarg Named a Go To Construction Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
Boston, Framingham, Plymouth and Worcester, MA – April 29, 2025 – Leah A. Rochwarg, Partner at Bowditch & Dewey, has been named a Go To Construction Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for the second time.
The publication honors Rochwarg as a senior attorney well-versed in case law, statutes, and regulations, known for her extensive experience in construction law and litigation. Among her most impressive projects last year was the negotiation and drafting of design and construction contracts on behalf of an international biotech company client for multiple projects involving the development of several hundred thousand square feet of labs, offices, and manufacturing space to support the client’s continued expansion and growth.
“Leah’s ability to offer creative solutions to complex legal challenges is unmatched. Whether handling transactional or litigation matters, she consistently demonstrates a deep expertise and sharp focus on achieving optimal results for our clients,” said Paul Bauer, Partner and Practice Area Leader for Real Estate, Finance & Corporate at Bowditch. “She truly stands out as a go-to lawyer in the construction and real estate industries.”
Rochwarg, who joined Bowditch in 2021 after more than 15 years as a partner at a global firm, advises investors, developers, utilities, public and private owners, design professionals, construction managers, contractors, manufacturers, and corporate real estate departments on a wide range of projects, including life sciences, energy, industrial, mixed-use developments, multifamily housing, hospitality, manufacturing, R&D facilities, and schools.
She counsels clients regarding transactional and adversarial matters from cradle to grave throughout the feasibility, development, construction, commissioning, and project close-out phases of projects —achieving successful results in matters involving contract disputes, services and materials procurement, bid protests, delay/disruption claims, payment and performance bond matters, defective design and construction issues, insurance-related concerns, and more.
“I’m humbled and honored to be recognized again as a Go To Construction Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly,” said Rochwarg. “Construction law is inherently complex, and I take great pride in helping clients navigate those complexities with clarity and confidence while identifying available options and providing creative solutions. This recognition is a reflection not only of the work I do, but the trust that clients and contemporaries place in me and the outstanding support of my colleagues at Bowditch.”
Rochwarg is Co-editor and a Contributing Author of the Wolters Kluwer Construction Law Handbook. A LEED®-accredited professional, she is a Charter Fellow, Construction Lawyers Society of America; past Co-Chair, Construction Law Committee, Boston Bar Association; Member, Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts; Member, Forum on Construction Law, American Bar Association; and Senior Editor and Editorial Board Member, American Society of Civil Engineers – Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction.
