Michael Dickman to Discuss Taking and Defending Rule 30(b)(6) Depositions in Massachusetts
Michael Dickman will present at an MCLE New England program on July 15, 2026, focused on Rule 30(b)(6) depositions – one of the most powerful discovery tools in Massachusetts civil litigation.
Because testimony given during a Rule 30(b)(6) deposition is binding on the organization, strategic decisions in drafting the notice, selecting and preparing the designee, and conducting the deposition can materially affect dispositive motions, mediation posture and trial outcomes.
This program will cover the rule itself, the mechanics of noticing and responding to a deposition, preparation considerations for both the examining and defending parties, and best practices for handling the deposition in real time.
