Press Release: Matthew Madden Named Leading Litigator in America by Lawdragon

Boston and Worcester, MA – September 24, 2026 – Matthew Madden, a Partner at Bowditch, was recently named a Leading Litigator in America in Lawdragon’s 2027 list. The annual list includes 500 litigators from across the country who excel in advocating on behalf of their clients before juries, judges, and other key decision-makers.

Madden joined Bowditch in January 2026 as a seasoned advisor and trial lawyer, representing businesses and individuals in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and negotiated resolutions. His practice focuses on complex construction and commercial disputes, including matters involving contract claims, insurance coverage and indemnity, statutory remedies, and related business concerns. Madden regularly handles defective-construction disputes, mechanic’s lien matters, Chapter 93A claims, premises-liability matters, and public-bid and procurement disputes in state and federal courts and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

A recent example of Madden’s work is a $1.4 million settlement he secured for a contractor in a payment dispute with a Fortune 100 company. Madden asserted claims under the Massachusetts Prompt Pay Act as part of the client’s strategy, and the matter ultimately resolved with the contractor receiving $1.4 million.

Prior to joining Bowditch, Madden was a Partner at Kenney & Sams, a leading Northeast litigation firm that merged with Bowditch earlier this year.
