Jason Matthew is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the firm’s information technology resources. He develops and oversees the information technology capital budget and ensures that appropriate hardware, software and communications systems are implemented, maintained and upgraded. He works closely with all levels of management to develop short- and long-term information services to provide technology support capabilities to the firm.
Jason likes to take an extremely collaborative approach as Director of Information Services. This teamwork mentality has proved extraordinarily successful during his almost 12 years at Bowditch, where he has spearheaded a new document management system for the firm, strengthened its information security protocols, and engaged in a years-long process to update and augment the firm’s technology resources.
As a member of the firm’s Technology Innovation Committee, Jason was a part of the group that pushed for significant training efforts, client extranets, intake forms, contract standardization and document automation, among other endeavors. One of the first big projects was changing the document management system to implement a cloud-based system and transition the firm from a desktop model to a laptop model, a project that, as luck would have it, happened the summer before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before Bowditch
Prior to joining Bowditch, Jason was Information Technology Manager at law firm Fletcher Tilton PC. He also has experience as Systems Administrator for the Office of District Attorney, Norfolk County, and as a Senior Consultant at Vista Information Technologies (formerly MTS).
