Joshua Lee Smith Quoted in Worcester Telegram’s “Central Mass. ‘Cannabis Capital of the East'”

Worcester County has become a hub for the cannabis industry in the past five years since the 2016 ballot initiative approval for legalization of recreational cannabis in Massachusetts.  It has become the home to many new businesses including medical retail shops, testing labs, and recreational dispensaries.  The Worcester Telegram spoke with Joshua Lee Smith about how the cannabis industry has brought a “sense of renewal” to the area as these new businesses fill vacant storefronts.

“A lot of money is being invested and put into these properties that otherwise would be sitting vacant for a long time…I never thought cannabis would be such a big part of that (Worcester) renaissance but it definitely is.”
