Press Release: Bowditch Partner Inducted into Massachusetts Lawyer’s Weekly Hall of Fame
Boston and Worcester, MA – July 29, 2026 – Bowditch Partner Christopher Kenney was recently inducted into the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2026 Hall of Fame. The annual award honors prominent attorneys across the state who have practiced for at least 30 years and made significant contributions to Massachusetts law.
“It’s no surprise that Chris has been honored in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Hall of Fame, a recognition which he truly deserves,” said Michael Sams, Litigation Practice Area Co-Leader at Bowditch. “He is a dedicated leader and respected litigation expert at Bowditch and across the Commonwealth. Congratulations to Chris on this achievement.”
Kenney joined Bowditch in January of this year when the firm merged with Kenney & Sams, another leading Northeast law firm, solidifying their presence in Central Massachusetts, MetroWest, and Boston. Kenney co-founded Kenney & Sams in 2006 and specializes in trial law, litigation, and civil mediation services.
At Bowditch, Kenney continues his litigation practice as a nationally recognized litigator and trial advocate, having successfully tried cases before state and federal courts in several states. His practice focuses on advising companies, organizations, and individuals on contracts and agreements; corporate or shareholder disputes; construction and development; employment law; and product integrity and safety.
He serves a diverse portfolio of local and national clients ranging from real estate and construction to healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Kenney also represents public officials on election law and public policy.
“I am honored to be part of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Hall of Fame alongside many talented attorneys across the state,” said Kenney. “Having practiced law for over three decades, I have built a strong network of client and colleague relationships that have enriched my practice as a litigation attorney. It’s these valued relationships that make my work both rewarding and successful.”
In 1999, the Massachusetts Attorney General appointed Kenney to a six-year term as a Special Assistant Attorney General representing the Commonwealth in construction defect claims, constitutional law, and eminent domain matters. He served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and the Defense Research Foundation (DRI), as well as the State Advisory Council for the New England Legal Foundation (NELF).
He also formerly served as the President of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association (Massachusetts chapter), and was the Director of the IADC Trial Academy. He currently serves as Vice President of the American Board of Trial Advocates (MA Chapter).
