Overview

Erin Clark is an experienced higher education attorney with deep knowledge of civil rights compliance and institutional policy development. She focuses her practice on advising educational institutions on compliance with federal and state civil rights laws, conducting internal investigations, and developing effective policies and training programs. Erin works with colleges and universities to investigate and resolve complex matters involving Title IX, Title VI, and Section 504. She also guides campus response and education efforts related to sexual misconduct and discrimination and provides advice and counsel on employment matters.

Before Bowditch

Before joining the firm, Erin was a Civil Rights Attorney with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. Earlier in her career, she served as a Program Officer for Title IX and Sexual Misconduct for College students at Harvard University. Prior to attending law school, Erin held leadership roles focused on responding to sexual misconduct in higher education, including Director of Title IX Coordination for Chicago Public Schools and Director of the Center for Awareness, Response, and Education at Northwestern University.

Besides work

You can often find Erin spending time outdoors with her dog in New England or visiting her favorite cities: Chicago and Baltimore. These days, she is energized by learning how to garden, attempting to do triathlons, and planning travel.
