Press Release: Katherine Garrahan Named a Go To Commercial Real Estate Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Boston, Framingham, Plymouth and Worcester, MA – December 22, 2025 – Katherine Garrahan, Partner at Bowditch & Dewey, has been named a Go To Commercial Real Estate Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.  

Garrahan is an experienced real estate and land use attorney who provides creative, problem-solving counsel and representation to developers, owners of shopping centers and office buildings, banks, nonprofits, and other clients, from mid-range to big corporate in a variety of sectors.

Garrahan, who has been with Bowditch for 21 years, advises commercial, nonprofit, and institutional clients in MetroWest, Central, and Eastern Massachusetts on all aspects of real estate and land use law. Her work spans a wide range of sectors, including schools, retail, clinics, labs, specialty facilities, housing, and senior living, and includes due diligence, permitting and licensing, negotiations, and drafting agreements for real estate transactions and financing. She regularly represents clients before local and state authorities and municipal boards and commissions. 

In addition to the public arena, Kathy’s work in nonprofit housing development covers financing programs of state and federal agencies, such as the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, Department of Housing and Urban Development and programs of the Federal Home Loan Bank, and zoning work related to M.G.L. c. 40A, §3 (nonprofit educational uses).
