Patrick Tracey and Jeff Gribouski have authored the chapter “Bases for Liability Under Chapter 93A – Principles of Unfairness and Deception” in MCLE’s Chapter 93A Rights and Remedies publication, fifth edition.

The book, updated in October 2022, provides best practices for representing consumers and businesses in Chapter 93A proceedings in Massachusetts. It includes litigation strategies for pursuing and opposing claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices and guides lawyers through every aspect of Chapter 93A litigation. Patrick’s and Jeff’s chapter discusses the grounds for finding that a defendant has engaged in unfair or deceptive practices while other chapters cover the role of the Attorney General’s Office, the private remedies that are available, and attorney fees and costs.
