Ashley Barnes is an associate in the firm’s Employment Practice, where she represents employers in complex workplace and commercial disputes before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts throughout Massachusetts and New York. With a decade of experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, Ashley advises clients through all phases of a dispute, from pre-suit assessment and strategy development to dispositive motion practice, trial, and potential settlement.
Ashley’s practice spans a range of industries, including healthcare, financial services, and technology. She has significant experience handling contract disputes, restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, and claims involving discrimination and other employment-related issues. Ashley works closely with clients to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions tailored to their legal and operational needs.
Before Bowditch
Before joining Bowditch, Ashley was an associate at Am Law 100 firms in Boston and New York City, where she represented clients in complex commercial disputes. She also served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Commercial & Real Estate Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department.
Besides work
Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys running and is training for her first marathon. She also enjoys traveling and cooking and often incorporates culinary classes into her travels as a way to experience new cultures and cuisines.
