Brigid Harrington Named to National Association of College and University Attorneys’ Committee on Virtual Programming

Brigid Harrington has been named to the National Association of College and University Attorneys’ Committee on Virtual Programming. The Association’s purpose is to enhance legal assistance to colleges and universities by educating attorneys and administrators about campus legal issues. It plays an equally important role in the continuing legal education of university counsel. In her role on the Committee on Virtual Programming, Brigid will be responsible for providing input into the development of webinars, online courses, briefings, and other online programming presented by the Association, including suggesting delivery modalities, brainstorming topics and formats, and suggesting potential speakers for virtual programs.

Brigid is an experienced and accomplished Employment & Labor attorney with a depth of experience assisting higher education clients with matters involving civil rights compliance including Title IX, VAWA, ADA, Title VI, Title VII, and other laws and regulations related to discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, and retaliation. She has worked with institutions to draft compliant non-discrimination and harassment policies and procedures, has conducted numerous investigations into Title IX and other civil rights matters, and has trained faculty, staff and students on their obligations as members of a college or university community.
