Michael Dickman is a business litigator and trial lawyer who represents individuals and companies in complex civil disputes. His practice focuses on commercial, construction, and real estate litigation, with experience representing owners, developers, contractors, and other businesses. Mike has extensive experience prosecuting and defending against claims for violations of Chapter 93A. He also represents clients in insurance coverage, personal injury, and other civil litigation matters.
Handling cases from commencement through trial, Mike focuses on delivering strategic and client-centered results. His work includes early risk assessment and counseling, pre-suit investigation, and comprehensive litigation management – covering written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial. Mike represents clients in state and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies.
Mike is active in bar leadership through the Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association, including as a current and past leader of both organizations’ young lawyer divisions. Through his bar leadership, he regularly writes, speaks, and helps develop programming on issues affecting the legal profession, including lawyer well-being, professional development, and new developments in the law.
BESIDES WORK
Outside of the office, Mike enjoys playing golf, cooking/baking, and reading about American history. He lives with his wife, daughter, and mini red poodle, Banksy.

- Obtained verdict favorable to construction client on all affirmative claims following 2.5-week jury trial in Superior Court in payment dispute
- Achieved satisfaction of homeowner clients’ judgment of roughly $300,000 nearly two years after the original judgment in residential construction matter. Upon learning the debtor was about to receive substantial sums pursuant to a divorce decree, filed a new action seeking a preliminary injunction and to reach and apply divorce proceeds to satisfy the judgment. After successes on both motions, negotiated payment of the full judgment amount with debtor’s divorce counsel
- Mediated dozens of commercial, construction, and personal injury actions. Delivered opening statements, prepared comprehensive mediation memoranda, and led strategic communications with neutrals and clients on settlement position and objectives.
- Part of litigation team that secured nearly $3 million settlement in favor of client who suffered scalding water injuries during his stay at a local inn. Spearheaded case strategy and was primarily responsible for conducting fact discovery, including depositions of all defendant parties, and coordinated with multiple expert witnesses in advance of trial.
