Legal Billing Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Finance

Bowditch & Dewy LLP seeks an experienced Legal Billing Coordinator to manage and execute billing to the Firm’s clients. The position may work out of any of our three offices, Boston, Framingham or Worcester. Responsible for editing pre-bills, processing write-offs, responding to inquiries, and circulating final bills in a timely manner. The role also administers the Firm’s Conflict Check process and New Matter Opening process. Also responsible for preparing reports and providing information to management.

A strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, efficient multi-tasking capabilities, a keen eye for detail and accuracy, the ability to adapt to and master changing technologies and the ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.

Must possess polished verbal and written communication skills, and a solid interpersonal and professional demeanor is imperative.

Bowditch offers a hybrid work environment with 4 days in office and 1 day remote. In addition, Bowditch has a vaccination protocol required for all employees.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Prior law firm experience or work in a similar professional setting is required. Able to adhere to strict confidentiality, data entry skills, problem solving, analyzing information, typing, attention to detail, dependability, thoroughness, independence, informing others, results driven, general math skills, deadline oriented, administrative writing skills, verbal communication, highly proficient in MS Word & Excel.

EXPERIENCE

Billing: Minimum 3 years performing billing duties in a Law Firm or professional services organization.
